Following National Nurses Week, the American Health Care Association (AHCA) founded National Skilled Nursing Care Week (NSNCW) as a time to recognize skilled nursing care centers across the country, who provide dedicated services and care for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
National Skilled Nursing Care Week began on Mother’s Day, May 13th, and ends on Saturday, May 19th. The theme selected by AHCA for 2018 is “Celebrating Life’s Stories”, which “serves as
a tribute to life’s most significant events, relationships and experiences that shape the unique perspectives of residents, families, staff, and volunteers in long term and post-acute care. “
